Descend down the tower in a spiral! Constantly change your point of view
to plan your moves and solve puzzles!

What is beyond
Beyond puts you in a role of a 1:1 cube in the world of puzzles and obstacles. In this game you start at the top of a tower with a single goal - reach the bottom of it. In order to do that, roll your way through a semi open world and its hand crafted levels filled with various obstacles.

Complete optional challenges in each level to unlock visual customisation for your cube and the world that lies...BEYOND!

MY ROLE
BEYOND is a solo project that I've been working on through a major part of my Game Design education. Starting from coming up with a game concept to implementing new features and building new levels - everything was designed and built by me.

What is IRON TIDES
Iron Tides is a rogue-lite genre mash of survival, exploration and tactical combat. You are cast in the role of a viking chieftain, charged with commanding a loot-hungry warband. Engage in a series of raids, venturing ever deeper into treacherous seas as you encounter long-forgotten ruins and mysterious tribes.
MY ROLE
Took design a role in coming up and polishing new game features that will be present in the final build of the game. Designed a playable tutorial and built over 30 combat levels that were chosen to a production build.
Hosted playtest sessions and analyzed player's behavior to identify weak points of the game. Regularly playtested the game to identify and prioritize bugs. Provided the developing team with professionally written detailed features, and level documentation.

A WORLD WITHOUT END

A PLACE TO CALL HOME

After a successful voyage return to your stronghold of Norhaven. Sing songs for the fallen, purchase newly available wares, recruit new warriors, and plan the next raiding season.
MAIN PILLARS
In this video I go over my personal game "Beyond" and discuss some of the biggest challenges that I have had through the development. I explain my thought process behind decisions I made to overcome these challenges.

Anton is a game designer that has been living in Canada for over 4 years. Before that Anton lived all his life in Kazakhstan where he studied finance. After he moved to Canada his love of video games outweighed financial numbers.

Anton likes to think of himself as a game designer generalist though his favorite part of developing a game is working on User Interface and building a friendly user experience. He is a hardcore gamer who enjoys fast paced video games with high skill ceilings. Some of his all time favorite games are Monster Hunter 2, Hitman: Blood Money, The Last of Us, and League of Legends.

MINI-MINI GAMES

When the team gets enough points and “levels up” every player gets pulled from a dungeon right into a randomly selected mini-game where...well let's just say things get weird. Each mini-game awards top players with different goodies that help them in dungeons.
COOPETITION
(cooperation & competition)

Players will find that cooperation during dungeon crawling comes naturally to them as it is an
essential part of the dungeon crawling experience. But these players will be pitted against each
other in intense mini-games that result in a competitive edge over other players in the dungeon.


Single handedly designed and successfully implemented 90% of the Front and Back End UI as well most of the game systems related to it.
Led a small group of UI designers and artists by assigning personal
tasks and setting up milestones. Maintained the professional communication with UI artists to deliver the best possible quality work.
